Heavy Medium Shallow Bath Separator

The heavy medium shallow trough separator is a device based on Archimedes' principle, which uses density differences to achieve efficient material separation. It is widely used in the gangue discharge of lump coal and the washing and selection of large-sized coal in coal preparation plants. The core working principle is as follows: Raw coal and heavy medium suspension (usually a mixture of magnetite powder and water) are thoroughly mixed in the tank. The clean coal with a density less than that of the suspension rises to the liquid surface and is discharged from the weir along with the horizontal flow. Gangue with a density greater than that of the suspension settles at the bottom of the tank and is continuously scraped out by the scraper chain, thus completing the sorting process

The heavy medium shallow trough separator is mainly composed of the following components: 

Trough body: Welded steel plate structure, with wear-resistant liners laid at the bottom and guide tracks set on both sides; 

Gangue discharge system: including scraper chain, drive shaft, driven shaft, redirecting device and tail tensioning mechanism;

 Medium flow system: Water-containing horizontal flow and upward flow pipelines, maintaining the stability and uniform density of the suspension; 

Transmission and Control: A variable frequency speed regulation device is adopted to achieve stepless adjustment of the scraper speed. 

Safety protection: Equipped with chain break protection, under-speed protection, centralized lubrication system, etc
